Sagamore Hills – Anne Niarhos, 96, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield.
Anne was born September 11, 1927, in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Thomas and Stamatia (Katos) Papadakis.
Anne moved to solon in 1969, from Cleveland then moving to Sagamore Hills in 2017. She previously worked at American welding as head administrative secretary after 15 years. Anne was a member of St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Cleveland Hights & previously was a Sunday school teacher at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren, Ohio. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, golfing, sewing, and gardening.
She is survived by her two children Stephanie Niarhos of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, and Anthony Niahos of Akron, Ohio, she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents, husband John Niarhos whom she married November 29, 1964, and passed away September 20, 1995, two brothers Mike & Gust Papadakis, and two sisters Evelyn Condoleon, and Sophie Kassos.
Family and friends may pay their respects to Anne, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 429 High St. NE, Warren, Ohio 44481.
A service will follow at the Church at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
