Betty Elizabeth (Platter) Buzzelli

Warren – Betty Elizabeth Buzzelli, 89, of Warren passed away on Sunday afternoon, March 10, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Betty was born on October 13, 1934 in Daisytown, PA, a daughter of Walter and Elizabeth (Brant) Platter.

She was a graduate of California (PA) Area High School and went on to work for United Telephone, retiring as a Union Steward.

Outside of work and in addition to being a proud homemaker, Betty enjoyed traveling, gardening and arranging flowers, particularly roses. She was known for her outstanding spaghetti sauce and for always welcoming others into her home. Most of all, she cherished and treasured her grandchildren. Her loving and hospitable presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Christopher A. (Dorian) Buzzelli of Los Angeles, CA and Glen D. (Amy) Buzzelli of Voliant, PA; grandchildren, Sarah, Shauna, Thomas III, Rachael (Damian), Savannah (John), Lawless, Dasher and Chase; daughter-in-law, Tammy Buzzelli of McDonald, OH; sisters, Dolores Tenter and Evelyn Hrabak and her loyal Yorkshire Terrier, Benji.

Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Thomas P. Buzzelli Sr.; sons, Thomas P. Buzzelli Jr. and John Robert Buzzelli and many siblings.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Betty on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 11 to 1pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.

A Funeral Service will follow at the funeral home at 1pm with Rev. Christopher Cicero presiding.

Entombment will follow at All Souls Cemetery.
