Linda Antonelli
January 29, 1962 - February 26, 2026
64 Years Old
Cortland — With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for the time we shared with her, we announce that Linda Antonelli, 64, passed peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on January 29, 1962, in Warren, Linda was the beloved daughter of George F. Antonell, Sr., and Etta (Ward) Antonell. From an early age, she carried within her a spirited independence, a sharp wit, and a generous heart that would define her life.
A proud 1980 graduate of Howland High School, Linda often reminisced about her time in wood shop and on the track & field team. Those experiences reflected her strength and determination — qualities she later passed down to her cherished children, Benjamin Petronelli and Morgan Ebert. Whether teaching resilience, creativity, or perseverance, Linda led by example.
Linda’s career journey took her through various industries. No matter the role, she brought dedication, grit, and heart to her work. These varied experiences shaped her into the capable, resourceful, and “do-it-all” woman her family admired so deeply.
Those who knew Linda describe her as fiercely loyal, deeply compassionate, and refreshingly honest. She told it like it was — but always from a place of love. She was the friend who showed up, the sister who stood strong, and the mother who gave everything she had. Her laughter was contagious, her advice unwavering, and her presence a steady comfort to those she loved.
Linda found joy in life’s simple pleasures: browsing the aisles of TJ Maxx, trying new recipes alongside treasured family favorites, crocheting thoughtful handmade pieces, tending her garden, watching action movies and keeping up with the news. She even shared her love of sports by coaching her children in soccer when they were young. Yet above all else, Linda’s greatest pride and deepest joy was being a mother and grandmother. Her love for her children and grandchild was boundless, steadfast, and unconditional.
She will be profoundly missed by her parents, George and Etta Antonell; her sisters, Laura D’Avanzo (Nick), Lisa Antonelli McDowell (Michael), and Loretta Antonell; her brothers, George Antonell (Danielle), and Michael Antonell (Jenna); her beloved children, Benjamin Petronelli and Morgan Ebert (Daniel); and her treasured grandchild, Ward Ebert. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Alyssa and Stephen D’Avanzo, Dillon McDowell, and Jack and Ryan Antonell, along with many extended family members and friends whose lives she touched.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Linda’s life on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren, Ohio 44483. Guests may arrive at 11:30 a.m. and a service will take place at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Linda’s name to Patriot Hospice and Angel Medical Care, whose compassion and generosity brought comfort and dignity during her final days.
Linda’s legacy is one of strength, honesty, loyalty, and above all, love. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we carry forward her laughter, her lessons, and the unwavering devotion she poured into her family every day of her life.
