Mary (Marra) Pernice

Warren – Mary Pernice, 100, of Warren passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Community Skills Nursing Home of Warren.

Mary was born in Erie, West Virginia on March 22, 1925, a daughter of the late Sam and Mary (Aiello) Marra.

In 1951, she and her family came to Warren and she married the love of her life, Joseph Pernice on January 15, 1955 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Mary had an extensive career, working for Ohio Lam Division of General Electric in Warren. She retired in 1985 as a filament adjuster.

Outside of work, Mary was dedicated to her catholic faith as a member of St. Pius Catholic Church, then St. Joseph’s, which then became St. Mary’s. She enjoyed shopping, dancing and dining out with her sisters. In recent years, she enjoyed watching football and cherished visits and phone calls from her family members and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Mary will always be remembered by her son, Mark (Helen) Pernice of Hanover, PA; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Cynthia) Pernice and Kimberly Smith and great grandchildren, Tanner (Jean) Smith, Mackenzie Smith and Colin Smith.

Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by husband of 30 years, Joseph L. Pernice; brother, Patrick, John, Frank and Robert Marra and sisters, Flora Athey, Kathryn Carreo, Ann Nagy and Delores Wood.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Mary on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 11:30am to 12:30pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:15pm at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish - St. Mary’s Church, 232 Seneca Ave NE, Warren, OH 44481 with Fr. Ed Stafford presiding.

Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery.
